Popular for audacious graphics and design concepts that veer to the left of centre, this Seattle based clothing company is here to educate. Although not initially obvious, founder Karlo Reyes insists on drawing peoples’ attention to the relevance of the brand’s name. “Jeepneys” were once American GI vehicles that were left in the Philippines after WWII. They each possessed different designs and concepts and soon turned into urban art forms that showcase the owners’ individual sense of style. In 2003 Reyes named his label Jeepney as he began to spread the message learning whilst looking fly.
